Notes
Write notes, link them with [[double brackets]], and find them again.
Pick a note, or start a new one.
Notes for thinking with, kept in your browser. Write anything; link one note to another by
putting its title in double brackets — [[Garden plan]] — and the link appears
under the note, along with every note that links back to it. A link to a note that does not
exist yet offers to create it, which is how a set of notes grows into a web.
Tags are words that start with #, anywhere in a note: #idea, #garden/beds. Every tag in use appears as a filter above the
list. Renaming a note updates the links to it in every other note when you
leave the title box, so links never break.
Notes are plain text: the brackets and tags are the same ones Obsidian and Logseq use, so Export Markdown gives you a file those tools — or any editor — can read. Sign in with Google and notes also sync through your own Google Drive, so they follow you between devices.
Where are my notes stored?
In this browser, and — if you sign in — in a private application folder of your own Google Drive. Never on a server of ours. Clearing site data deletes the browser copy, so sign in or export now and then if they matter.
Does it render Markdown?
Not yet: notes are edited and shown as plain text. Headings, lists and emphasis you type in Markdown are kept as written and come out intact in the export.
What happens to links when I rename a note?
When you finish editing the title, every [[link]] to the old title in your other notes is changed to the new one, keeping any #heading or |alias. If another note still has the old title, those links are left alone — they already point at it.
