A shorter limit inside the cycle, like Claude's 5-hour session limit.

To find the share, note your weekly figure before a session, use the session until it hits its limit, and subtract. Leave it blank until you know it.

Off-cycle reset

When the quota resets early, start a fresh cycle from now. The next reset stays as it is; change it above if the schedule moved.

A quota that resets on a schedule is only fully used if it runs out just as the reset arrives. Use it too fast and you sit locked out for days; too slowly and whatever is left vanishes at the reset. The Quota Pacer tells you where an even pace puts you at this moment, so you can compare it with the usage figure your provider shows and see at a glance whether to speed up or ease off.

What par means

Par is the share of the cycle that has already passed. Three and a half days into a seven-day cycle, par is 50.0%: if you have used half of your weekly limit, you are exactly on pace. If your usage page says 38%, you are 12 points behind and have room to spend; if it says 70%, you are ahead and will run out early unless you slow down. The tool never asks for your usage. You read that off your provider and do the comparison yourself, which is all a pace needs.

Par is a straight line from 0% at the start of the cycle to 100% at the reset. That line runs through nights and weekends too, so expect to sit below par while you sleep and catch up while you work. What matters is where you are against par when your working time is nearly over, and the Par ahead table shows the line at each day's reset time so you can plan for that moment.

Burst windows, like Claude's 5-hour limit

Claude's paid plans have two limits at once: a weekly limit, and a session limit that resets five hours after a session starts. The session limit caps how fast you can spend the weekly one, so a week cannot be used up in an afternoon. Turn on the burst window and the tool counts how many five-hour windows still fit before the weekly reset.

If you also know what one maxed-out window costs, as a share of the week, it says how many full windows would use the rest of the quota from par. Halfway through the week, with 84 hours left, 16 five-hour windows still fit. If a full window uses 8% of the week, the remaining 50% takes 6.25 of them, which works out to one full window every 13 hours 26 minutes. When the windows needed outnumber the windows left, the tool says so: even maxing out every session will not finish the quota.

To measure the share, note your weekly figure before a session, keep working until the session limit stops you, and subtract. The share differs between plans and can change, so measure again from time to time. Leave the field blank if you do not know it, and the rest of the tool still works.

Where to find the numbers for Claude

In Claude Code, the /usage command shows how much of the current session and of the week you have used, and when each resets. On claude.ai the same figures are under Settings, in Usage. Put the weekly reset into Next reset, and it rolls forward by itself every week after that.

Any other quota

The pacer is not tied to one provider. A phone plan's monthly data, a monthly allowance of API credits, or a daily allowance of anything all pace the same way. Pick Daily, Weekly, Monthly or a custom number of days, and turn the burst window off if there is none. Monthly cycles follow the calendar: a reset on the 31st falls on the last day of a shorter month and returns to the 31st after it.

Early resets

Sometimes a quota resets ahead of schedule. Press Reset happened and the current cycle starts from that moment, with par back at zero and the window counts worked out again. The scheduled reset stays as it was. If the early reset also moved the schedule, change Next reset to the new time. Undo puts the cycle back if you pressed it by mistake.

Private by design

Your schedule is saved in this browser only, and nothing is sent anywhere. The tool works offline once it has loaded.

How do I make my Claude weekly limit last until it resets?

Compare your weekly usage with par. Below par you have room to spend; above it, ease off. Par reaches 100% exactly at the reset, so tracking it is what makes the limit run out as the week ends.

Why does it not ask how much I have used?

Your provider already shows that figure. Par only depends on the schedule, so you set the reset once and compare whenever you check your usage.

What happens when the reset passes?

The cycle rolls forward on its own: a weekly reset moves on by a week, a monthly one by a calendar month, and the reset keeps its time of day across daylight saving changes.

What if my quota resets early?

Press Reset happened. The cycle starts again from that moment, and the next scheduled reset stays where it was unless you change it.
