How It Works

Tier lists originated in the fighting game community in the late 1990s, where players on forums like Shoryuken ranked characters in games like Street Fighter II from strongest to weakest. The S/A/B/C/D/F format became the internet standard, with "S" standing for "Super" or "Special" — above the standard A grade.

To use the tier list maker: add items using the Add Item button (with optional images) or bulk-add a list of names. Then drag items into tiers to rank them. You can rename, recolor, add, or remove tiers to fit any use case.

Your progress is saved automatically per session. Use the Save button to name and store multiple tier lists, or export as a PNG to share on social media. The .tierlist format preserves all your items and rankings — share the file with others and they can import it by dragging it onto this page.
